In 2016, we introduced the world's first and only manually actuated disc clutch for go-karts and mini-bikes.

The 3DME clutch (patent pending) is a cable operated bolt-on unit that takes minutes to install, replacing a typical centrifugal clutch. Add a clutch lever to your handlebar or steering wheel and you will be able to control clutch engagement at any desired RPM.

Until now, mini-bikes and go-karts used variations of centrifugal clutch technology, with a pre-set engagement speed. Now, you can control the engagement RPM and timing. When engaged, this clutch does not slip, up to its torque limit.

This clutch is not meant to slip. Engagement is off/on, unlike larger clutches in a motorcycle or car. Depending on your drive ratio and traction, starting may be difficult to not kill your motor. This clutch is great for small-wheel / low-gear minibikes, burnouts, drift-karts, drift-trikes, some dirt, some racing, and various specialty applications. If you want to control drivetrain engagement regardless of engine speed, this clutch is for you. If you are a casual cruiser, or you rely on the ratio range of a torque converter, this clutch probably is not for you. It gives your drivetrain a strong direct connection to the motor with no slip, engaged when you want.
